Algebra and functions
8 topicsAlgebra - Word ProblemsAlgebra word problems turn written information into equations.Algebra - ExpressionsAn algebraic expression brings together letters and numbers without an equals sign.Algebra - FactorisingFactorising rewrites an expanded algebraic expression as a multiplication of its factors.Algebra - Solving EquationsSolving an equation means finding the unknown values that make both sides of a mathematical statement equal.Algebra - InequalitiesAn inequality compares quantities and can describe the values a variable is allowed to take.Functions & Graphing FunctionsA function is a mathematical rule that assigns each input from a domain to exactly one output.Numbers PatternsNumber patterns are ordered sequences of numbers or shapes that follow a consistent mathematical rule.Working with GraphsWorking with graphs connects algebraic formulas, numerical patterns, and coordinate geometry to visual lines and curves.
Number
4 topicsFinancial MathsFinancial maths applies arithmetic to personal and business money matters, including tax, interest, profit, bills, and currency exchange.Number SystemsNumber Systems classifies natural, integer, rational, and real numbers and examines operations on them.SetsA set is a well-defined collection of elements.Distance, Speed & TimeSpeed tells us how far something travels in a given time.
Geometry and trigonometry
6 topicsArea & VolumeArea measures flat surface coverage, while volume measures the three-dimensional space inside a solid.Co-ordinate GeometryCo-ordinate geometry links algebra and shapes by using number pairs to pinpoint positions on a grid.GeometryGeometry investigates the properties, measurements, and spatial relationships of shapes, lines, and solids.ConstructionsGeometric constructions use instruments to draw shapes, lines, and angles accurately.Transformation GeometryTransformation geometry is the study of how shapes move across a plane by sliding, reflecting, or turning while keeping their size and shape intact.TrigonometryTrigonometry links the acute angles and side lengths of right-angled triangles using the sine, cosine, and tangent ratios.
Statistics and probability
3 topicsCounting/PermutationsCounting lets you find the total number of outcomes or arrangements without having to write down every possibility by hand.ProbabilityProbability is a measure on a scale of 0 to 1 of how likely an event is to occur.StatisticsStatistics is about collecting, organising, analysing, and interpreting data to answer questions about populations.
